After reading the great reviews, we went for dinner a couple of days ago. It was just as described: great food, quick and courteous service, busy but no waiting for a table, and a good value for the money. We both had medium spice level sauce with our spicy pork and spicy chicken meals and while it was not overpowering, the spice was definitely present! We will be back to try more menu items!
This place is great. I loved everything I ordered. I tried the corn quesadilla with Al pastor. It was delicious! I loved the salsa that came with it and I loved the chips and 2 salsas that were brought to our table. My daughter had enchiladas and my husband had a smothered steak burrito. They both liked their food but didn’t love the sauces they were smothered in as much. If you have any doubts you might be able to ask to taste sauces as you go through the line. I loved the gorilla outside and the restaurant inside was very clean and welcoming. I had a great experience—thanks!
Every time we've come to eat inside they're always so friendly and offer samples, to grab us kid booster seats or great suggestions to which meal and flavor profile might entertain our tastebuds the most! (Ex: half red sauce/half green sauce on burrito!) The food is fresh, great depth of flavor and Samantha took great care of us tonight. Thank you all!
Best street tacos i’ve had in a while. Al pastor was my favorite, but asada and chicken were right behind it. All fillings are generous and can be made to your liking. The creamy ranch has just enough of a kick to distinguish it from other ranch sauces. Combine this with friendly staff and a great atmosphere, and i’m already planning my next visit.
Taqueria Chunga’s is fantastic. Great tacos, smothered burritos, and chips and salsa. Service was excellent! Clean place as well. Recommend visiting here.
We traveled to Harriman for a wedding. Chungas was suggested on our restaurant search so we went. It was without a doubt the best burrito I have ever eaten. I had the spicy pork with half and half sauce. Both sauces had great flavor. The lettuce and pico was very fresh and added a little extra flavor. My wife had the grilled chicken tacos. She loved them. Everything was warm and fresh and delicious. We will be back to Chungas before we leave this city. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a clean environment. The staff was very friendly also and informative with my questions on meals.
Loved eating at Chunga’s, this was our first time eating there and it was so amazing, we told them it was our first time and we got drunk for free which was such a nice surprise. Then we went through and got the Steak Tortas so yummy bread meat was seasoned well with avocado sooooo goood, I got the smoother end burrito it could feed 2-3 people serious so big and delicious. Loved this spot made a TikTok on it too!
We were in the area and stopped by to check this place out, and we will be back. I had a simple taco combo and my wife had the enchiladas. They were flavorful and delicious. The rice was soft and seasoned well and the beans were a nice diversion from the standard refried beans. All in all a great Mexican restaurant with authentic street food.
Very polite! I was having a hard time carrying my big order to the car and they offered to help me without me asking or anything. The manager was very friendly and asked me to leave a review if I was happy with the food and service. I was very impressed so I wanted to come leave the review!! He was also kind to my children and the food had a lot of options including for my husband who loved the spice!! Def would come again. It was my first time.
I ordered smothered burrito with grilled chicken here and I enjoyed my food. I’m a bit surprised that they don’t have regular burrito in their menu. Once I tasted my food, I think I know why. While it is good, I don’t believe it is authentic. That is not a problem for me as long as the food tastes good and I’m not Mexican. The salsa on top of burrito is a bit sweet and the salsa they provided isn’t that spicy even the spiciest one. The staff is very friendly and nice. The restaurant is very clean and well-kept. I will probably be back again.
